Creating and maintaining your Shopfront on iiiglobal is quick and easy, using a series of simple on-line templates. You must first create a listing before going through the following instructions. To make it easier, we have also made available a printable word document with all instructions for your easy reference.
1. Go through the processes (1-8) as per listing. Note: Your organisation listing is your 255 character search result – ensure your description is succinct and within the 255-character limit.
If you choose to offer FREE ADVICE, enter the email address you would like your Free Advice enquiries to go to.
2. To include your company logo (or any other chosen image) on your shopfront, select ‘upload new image’ and follow the instructions in the new window. You can upload as many images as you like but only 1 can be displayed at any given time. Images must be in GIF or JPEG format (max 15k) sized up to 160 x 160 pixels. All other images will be automatically rejected from the system. To reduce loading times, please crop images tightly.
3. You can cross-link your shopfront to another shopfront within the site by selecting Associate other Shopfronts. This feature is particularly useful for those organisations with a number of shopfronts featuring specific areas of expertise. Upon selection you will be required to Search for the shopfront. Enter the shopfront name, Search, Select and Return.
4. Next you are asked to Create your own Shopfront members. These are individuals which you choose to give special access to your shopfront in order to contribute to or edit the information contained within your shopfront. You can also create your own ‘private user-group’, thereby restricting public access to certain information on your Shopfront (e.g. hold a private online event or discussion, share information, create an on-line newsletter for selected individuals, store your company documents etc in a secure area for your selected eyes only (see Shopfront Interactivity Toolkit).
All Shopfront members must be registered with iiiglobal prior to their Shopfront membership creation. You can create iiiglobal registered browsers on behalf of your required members or direct the individual(s) to the site with advice that their registration on iiiglobal is required prior to enabling their special access. Once the individual(s) is registered, you will be able to search the system for the registered user and select the individual to be your Shopfront member. These members will also have access to all other unrestricted areas of iiiglobal.
There are two types of Shopfront memberships available:
The Chief Contact (CC) membership will allow the individual(s) to create, edit and approve information on your Shopfront (full administrative rights) as well as view all secure information within your Shopfront. The individual who creates your Shopfront will automatically be given CC Status, but this can be amended if required by selecting the [R] = [Remove] adjacent to your contact details.
Other Contact (OC) membership will allow the individual(s) to access restricted information and to create information, however, any information added to the site by an OC will require approval from the CC. Information waiting for approval will be displayed in the maintenance area of your shopfront allowing an easy ‘three click’ (view, approve, save) process for the CC.
5. Finally, you can choose “Allow Shopfront Members Only to access your Shopfront. By selecting ‘Yes’, your shopfront will only display your company profile and contacts to public browsers. All other information contained within your Shopfront will only be viewable to your selected Shopfront Members. This facility can be turned off and on whenever required.
You have now successfully created your Shopfront. Do a final Save and select Return to Profile to view your completed Shopfront. Your interactivity toolkit is accessible from your Shopfront Homepage. Each tool has its own instructions.
